What is wheel caster angle (KASTERIS)?
CASTER ANGLE (KASTERIS) is wheel tilt angle relative to vertical line along car longitudinal axis. This angle is measured and expressed in degrees.
Caster angle (Kasteris) is TEIGIAMAS when steering axis top tilts backward
Caster angle (Kasteris) is NEIGIAMAS when steering axis top tilts forward
Caster angle (Kasteris) is ZERO when steering axis is vertical
Usually caster angle is TEIGIAMAS because it improves:
travel direction stability and steering mechanism return.
NEVER trust that one caster angle (Kasterio) value fits all cars. ALWAYS check what value manufacturer sets for each car.
